Doyon Government Group

Doyon Government Group and Akal Security, Inc., its joint venture partner, were awarded contracts in 2009 at the Krome and El Paso Service Processing Centers. ICE set aside these contracts for 8(a) companies, and Doyon-Akal JV operates under an approved mentor-protege agreement. Under the agreement, Doyon owns 51 percent of the JV and Akal owns 49 percent. In operating the JV, Doyon is the principal operator on the site and Akal provides professional and back-end support.

Krome is a five-year, 140 million contract to provide detention officers, food, and transportation services at the Krome Service Processing Center in Miami, a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility. About 370 staff are employed at Krome. The Krome Service Procesing Center typically houses 400 detainees awaiting immigration status determination or repatriation. Most were taken into custody in the area, typically at the airport or seaport.

El Paso is a five-year, 152 million contract. Services at both locations include Cell Extractions, Armed Guard Services, In/Out Processing, Armed Escort Services, Fleet Ownership/Maintenance of Buses/Vans/Patrol Vehicles, and Food Services.

Doyon Security Services (DSS) a subsidiary of Doyon Government Group, has grown into a powerhouse in the security field during the past six years. Within the past twelve months this subsidiary has won over $266 million in new competitive contracts that employ 960 personnel in the homeland security-immigration and customs enforcement fields. Doyon provides both Physical and Electronic security, as well as MANPOWER Analysis to the Pentagon and the Army Armed Guards Contract. The Army Armed Guards Contract employs 430 personnel under a $126 million competitive project with forts located in AK, CA, WA, and HI.
